9.1.12 – mt hood/timberline lodge loop

Laura and I did our second hike of the day, which was a quick one; we took a short loop up from the Mount Hood/Timberline Lodge area up the dirt road snowboarders/skiers use, over right towards the PCT, and then back down to the parking lot. All things considered, its an easy enough loop although the road is a bit steep. Our goal of this trip was to make some recon on future hikes in Oregon. We’ll be back to hit up either that PCT stretch or to summit Hood soon enough. Til then… this was it for today.

  1. Timberline is a great spot. Many more great hikes in the area if you come back. Or just summit Hood!
