9.5.11 – toro canyon to the gazebo

Laura (the wife) and I did a super easy hike today: Toro Canyon County Park to the Gazebo, atop a small hill (it’d be weird to call it a mountain). It’s a really, really easy hike and I did it in my minimalist road-running shoes. However, it’s a pretty good hike for a beginner or a picnic. We started near site #4 and followed the trail signs. There is a fork at one point: go right! The total hike is about a mile round trip, give or take a bit. Other than that, not a lot to report outside of the usual annoying gnats. Definitely a fun, easy hike.

Time: 30 minutes
Distance: 1.2 miles
Elevation gain: 200′
Water/calories consumed: 0
Temp: upper 80s, super exposed
